Achieving success and happiness requires engaging in a meaningful and sometimes uncomfortable dialogue with yourself - asking yourself difficult questions, and opening up fully to the answers and what they reveal.  For those ready to take a Leap in their lives, this simple exercise is a great place to start.

1) What is my ideal life? What are its elements? How would I describe it if it turned out exactly the way I wished?

2) Projecting my career on its current most likely trajectory to the point of retirement at age sixty-six or beyond, what have I accomplished? What are my proudest achievements? What are the things I wish I had done?

3) How different are the answers to Questions 1 and 2? Is the language, the terminology even the same? If not, why not?

4) What do I wish to accomplish that is unlikely given my current life trajectory?  What am I willing to do to achieve it?
