The Lobsturkey Illusion

Inquisitive Turkey

Why did the Pilgrims choose to dine on Turkey for Thanksgiving?

Actually, it was because they believed that lobster, plentiful in the waters around them, were actually giant insects – some type of large underwater spider, and they refused to eat them.

Their perception was so strong; it led to a myopic and incorrect view of their choices.

This year be thankful for all that you have.  Your experiences, good and bad, that have shaped your outlook.  Your platform, that allows you to lead others toward something positive, to mentor those who aspire to your path, to teach children, to help, to heal.

But also be thankful for the exciting opportunities that exist all around you, many just below the surface. For the potential that may be laying dormant within you, waiting to be nudged to life.  For the incredible future of impact and fulfillment that might be just around the corner, if only you were willing to take a peek.

Be thankful for the turkey.  But never forget that the spiders all around you might just be lobsters…
